Good kit costs a lot
A decent backpacking tent can cost £300 or more, before you add a sleeping mat, a sleeping bag and a stove. If you camp once or twice a year, that's a lot of money for kit that spends most of its life in a loft.
So we bought it once, for everyone
We buy the kit, look after it, and hire it out for the days you actually need it. You get kit you'd be happy to own, without the price or the storage. And every hire is another trip for the same tent, rather than another tent being made.
We only hire what we'd use
Every tent, mat, bag and wetsuit is something we'd take on our own trips: light enough to carry, tough enough for repeat hire, and made for UK weather. See the kit and why we chose it.
Cleaned and checked, every time
When kit comes back, we clean it, dry it and check it before it goes out again. If something isn't right, it doesn't go out.
