Accidental Damage Cover | Responsibility & Important Information

Gear Again’s Accidental Damage Cover provides you with protection against the cost of accidental damage to the tent and associated rental equipment while on hire from Gear Again.

This Cover offers peace of mind should any part of the tent or included accessories be accidentally damaged during your hire period.

Items included under Accidental Damage Cover may include, but are not limited to, the tent body, poles, stakes, guylines, footprint, and other standard accessories supplied as part of the rental.

Due to the high replacement value of specialist camping equipment, customers are encouraged to take reasonable care of all hired items throughout the rental period.

Accidental Damage Cover is optional. If you choose not to purchase Accidental Damage Cover, you will remain fully liable for the full repair or replacement cost of any lost, stolen, or damaged items during your rental.

Key Terms of the Accidental Damage Cover:

• The customer remains responsible for the first £50 of any accidental damage claim.
• The Cover only applies to accidental damage.
• The Cover excludes:
  
• Theft, loss, or disappearance of equipment.
• Damage caused by wilful neglect, misuse, abuse, or deliberate acts.
• Damage arising from failure to follow set-up, takedown, or care instructions provided.
• Damage resulting from improper use, including but not limited to using the tent in unsuitable weather conditions (e.g., extreme wind beyond product limits).
• Customers are responsible for ensuring reasonable care and security of equipment at all times.

Accidental Damage Cover does not provide any protection for costs associated with cancellation of your booking, trip interruption, personal injury, or third-party liability.

Customers are advised to arrange their own comprehensive travel insurance if additional coverage is required.

Important:

Accidental Damage Cover is a waiver of liability offered by Gear Again and is not an insurance policy.

It is a contractual agreement between you (the hirer) and Gear Again, under which we agree to waive certain costs associated with accidental damage, subject to the above conditions.
